Jeggings, anyone?

Among the hippest type of clothing worn by a lot of women are jeggings–or a bottom which is a crossover between denim jeans and leggings. Jeggings derived its name when it was first used for jogging at the beginning of 2009, Thereby, jeggings means leggings for jogging, with “l” being replaced with “j”.

Jeggings come in various styles, materials and colors. There are also two categories for this type of clothing, One which is made of legging material adorned with faux pockets and belt loops. The other one is made with genuine denim fabric, equipped with real pockets but are elastic as leggings.

Jeggings are worn by quite a number of women because it can match different styles and are flexible for almost any occasions. However, one has to know how to pull off this bottom properly, so you’d look stylish.

For your initial pairs, opt for those with darker shades, and more conservative styles as they are easier to match with various top styles and colors. Then, you can experiment with various styles as you buy more pairs. In addition, black jeggings will make you look thinner.

Jeggings are quite flexible in creating different looks. Pair it with over-sized tee and sneakers for a sporty effect. For a more formal look,you can also pair it with polo, a thin belt and ballet flats, stilettos or high-healed sandals.
